Karen’s life was falling apart. She owned her own bakery but for the last couple of months business was slow. She was spending more than she was bringing in and had to lay off employees. Since Karen put her house up for collateral to obtain her business loan she faced the possibility of losing her home. Karen was stressed out and did not how she was going to survive. Karen had a friend who owned a floral shop and noticed how her business was thriving. She knew her friend was a Christian. Karen went with her friend to church one night and learned about tithing and God’s promises that are found in his word. Over the course of the next months, Karen started tithing and speaking God’s word over her circumstances. God begin to turn Karen’s situation around. Eventually Karen was able to hire the employees back that she let go and her business is thriving just like her friend’s floral shop.
Are you facing a major crisis like Karen and don’t know what to do? Maybe something in your life isn’t going right. God wants you to have a relationship with him and be obedient to him so he can bless you. God has promised to supply all our needs (Philippians 4:19). God promised that his grace is sufficient to us (2 Corinthians 12:9). God promised that we will not be overtaken with temptation and there is a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). God has promised us victory through Jesus (1 Corinthians 15:57). God promised if you love him, then all things will work out for good (Romans 8:28). God promised to save us if we believe and are baptized (Mark 16:16). God promised us eternal life (John 10:28). There are many more promises that are found in the bible. You have to get in God’s word and remind him of his promises, believe him, speak positive, and then you will start to see your circumstances turn around in God’s timing.
Let’s pray:
Heavenly Father, You are the God of many names and I glorify you. Jehovah Ezer, Lord you are my helper. El Shaddai , you are God Almighty. Jehovah Jireh, Lord you are my provider. Psalms 9:10 says, "Those who know your name will put their trust in you; Lord, you will not forsake me because I seek you." God, your word doesn’t return to you void. I am fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised as in Romans 4:21. John 15:7 says, “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” 2 Corinthians 1:20 says, “For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.” Isaiah 40:31 says, “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”
Lord, I will choose to obey you. I declare that blessings will chase me down. I decree and declare that you will do exceedingly and abundantly anything I can even ask or think. Since I am a tither, the devourer is rebuked for my sake. I decree and declare that I am living under an open heaven and you are pouring out blessing that I don’t have room to store it all as in Malachi 3:10. Lord, I refuse to be worry or live in doubt because you are in control. Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Lord, bless me to be patient as I wait for your promises to manifest in my life. In Jesus name Amen.
